What can I expect during a nutritional management consultation?

When you visit Why Weight for nutritional management, you can expect comprehensive and compassionate care.

During your initial screening, you’ll speak with Karen to develop a nutritional plan. Karen asks detailed questions about your usual diet, food likes and dislikes, and your shopping and cooking habits.

Then you come back to the office, and Dr. Salter conducts a physical exam and lab testing to better understand your overall health and nutritional needs. Her lab testing may include a check for nutritional deficiencies as well as food or environmental sensitivities that may affect your health.

Dr. Salter also reviews your medical history, family history, and the types of medications and supplements you take and before starting your medical treatment.

What happens during nutritional management?

After Dr. Salter completes your initial evaluation, she develops your personalized nutrition program to address your specific health needs and nutrition goals.

Your nutritional management plan may include:

  • A personalized diet plan
  • Grocery lists and recipes
  • Meal planning tools
